Lauro Garza was the twin of Laurentina. He is the author's namesake. He never married and had no children. According to documents inherited by Dorace Goodman from her mother Rosario Garza Goodman, Lauro Garza was born on January 29, 1907. He managed an ranch estate called "El niño feliz." He died in 1986 and is buried beside his parents in the Catholic cemetary in Laredo Texas. Today, Rancho "El niño feliz" is managed by Lauro Gutierrez. He and the author are named in his honor.
